Privacy Policy for the E3 Platform
Last Updated: May 7, 2026
American Futbolista (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, particularly the youth athletes, coaches, and parents who use the E3 Platform (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and ownership of data and insights.
1. Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance
The E3 Platform is designed for use by soccer clubs and teams which may include children under the age of 13. To protect the privacy of young athletes:
- No Direct Collection from Children: We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- No Child Email Collection: We do not collect or store email addresses for any users under the age of 13. Minors under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from creating an account, logging into, or otherwise accessing the Platform.
- No Birth Date Collection: We do not collect or store the birth dates of any users. Age-appropriate experience levels are managed via “Season” or “Age Group” designations (e.g., “U12”) provided by the Club or Coach, rather than specific dates of birth.
- Verifiable Parental Consent: We obtain verifiable parental consent via the child's Coach or a direct invitation to the Parent before a sub-account profile is activated for minors ages 13-17.
- Coach-Logged Metrics: Coaches may log performance metrics (attendance, effort, and technical notes) for athletes under 13. This information is processed as part of the Service provided to the Coach and the Parent, and is never directly collected from the child.
2. Information We Collect
We limit our collection of Personal Information (PI) to the following:
- Adult Users (Coaches/Parents/Players of age 18+): Name and email address provided during account registration.
- Youth Users (Ages 13-17): Name (as provided by the parent/coach) and performance data. Access to the Platform and the collection of contact information for this group is strictly contingent upon Verifiable Consent from a parent or legal guardian. Once approved, these users may self-report metrics such as “Effort” and “JOY.” No birth dates are collected for this or any demographic.
- Youth Users (Under 13): Name (as provided by the parent/coach) and performance data. No contact information or birth dates are collected for this demographic.
- Performance & Developmental Data: This includes attendance records, effort ratings, coach notes, and match metrics.
3. Data Ownership and Usage
3.1 Ownership of User Data: As outlined in our EULA, American Futbolista retains ownership of all data inputted into the Platform. This data is used to generate player scorecards, team trends, and developmental insights.
3.2 Ownership of Insights: American Futbolista is the sole owner of all Insights generated by the Platform. This includes aggregated, de-identified, and anonymized data sets derived from User activity. We use these insights for research, benchmarking, and the commercial improvement of our technologies.
Note: Even if a user requests the deletion of their personal identity, the anonymized performance metrics and high-level insights generated during their tenure remain the property of American Futbolista.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only as follows:
- Transparency Loop: Coaches and linked parents can view a specific player's developmental data (Effort, Joy, Attendance).
- Service Providers: We may use secure third-party providers (e.g., cloud hosting) solely to facilitate the Platform's operations.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required to do so by a valid legal order, subpoena, or to protect the safety and physical well-being of our community.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256 for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit) to protect the Platform's data. Because we do not collect birth dates or child emails, the “surface area” for sensitive data risk is significantly reduced.
6. Your Rights (Access & Deletion)
Users (and parents of youth users) have the right to request access to or deletion of their personal identifiers.
- Effect of Deletion: Upon a verified request, we will delete personal identifiers (e.g., Names, Parent Emails). Per Section 3.2, the anonymized performance data and historical insights remain the property of American Futbolista for continued analytical use.
